Schools throughout the Carolinas are opening their doors and welcoming back students after the summer of 2015. Fall isn’t quite in the air, but football teams have hit the field and high school games begin this weekend.
And with these annual rites of passage always comes another at Bray & Long – frenetic activity on the legal front. Small and mid-sized business owners, like their children, vacation in the summer – but as soon as the kids are back in school, their focus is renewed and plans are made to start new ventures, pursue deals or engage in litigation that was placed on the back burner during the dog days of June, July and August.
Since we opened our doors in 2003, we’ve always viewed September as one of our busiest months (along with January). The phones start ringing with new clients seeking representation and existing clients giving us a heads-up that work is on its way.
